The Sunshine State Young Readers Award (SSYRA) Program is a statewide reading motivational program for students in grades Kindergarten through 8th grade. The purpose of the SSYRA Program is to encourage students to read independently for pleasure and to read books that are on, above, and below their reading level in order to improve their reading fluency. At Bexley Elementary School, we offer an SSYRA incentive program where if you read all 15 SSYRA books in your grade level, you have the chance to earn Brag Tags, prizes and can attend the end of the year celebration.
Kindergarten-2nd grade must complete ONE project from the Activity Choice Board projects list for EACH of their 15 grade level books. Your teacher has a copy of the Activity Choice Board projects or you can reference the SSYRA Jr. tab under the students tab.
