Hello Bulldog Families!

What a great week back together we had at our school last week! Our Girls on the Run club ran a 5K this weekend and had an amazing time. We are so proud of these Bulldogs!

With only two weeks before Winter Break, please remember that every day matters. Please be sure that you are prioritizing your child's attendance. On Friday, our students who have had amazing attendance (no absences or only one excused absence) will be celebrated at our first Show Up and Shine event.

Our state progress monitoring continues this week. Please see the weekly agenda below to know if your child's grade is being assessed. On these days, please be sure that your child is on time and well rested for school. The data from these assessments will assist teachers in planning targeted instruction for your child in semester 2.

This week we celebrate Computer Science Week. Students will be engaging in AI coding activities, exploring how artificial intelligence works through fun coding challenges. These experiences are important because they build problem-solving skills and prepare learners for a future shaped by technology. Meanwhile, our kindergarten students will be using the Glowforge, a 3D laser printer that cuts and engraves materials like wood and acrylic, giving students hands-on opportunities to design and create.

We are also excited to start our 10 Days of Festive Fun. See attached flyer for more information. Don't forget to RSVP for our Melodies in the Snow winter concert (flyer also attached).

Student Code of Conduct Reminder
Recently, there have been a few students who have used a wireless communication device, in violation of Florida State Statute and our district Code of Conduct. You can access the full Code of Conduct here. Please note that we are required to enforce this policy: Students who bring WCDs to school must ensure that they remain on silent mode and completely out of view for the entire school day. This is particularly important during state testing, as being in possession of such a device will cause a student's score to be invalidated.

Please read the following reminders, and share them with any family members who are coming to our campus.

Morning Car Rider Procedures
Increased traffic on Ballantrae Boulevard has caused our morning car rider line to back up into our car loop as cars are exiting. To assist with this, we will be closing the outside car lane earlier, and cars will need to merge into the one lane for the remainder of arrival. You can help by being prepared to merge AND kindly allowing other cars to merge as needed. As families get used to this procedure, the car line will move quicker, and you will wait less after dropping off your child. Please pay careful attention to keep the line moving AND to keep all of our students safe. Additional reminders are below:

  • Be sure the car tag is up when you enter the car line. Remember to take it down from your mirror as soon as your child is unloaded at arrival or loaded at dismissal.
  • In the morning, please wait for a Safety Patrol or staff member to open your car door and welcome your student.

Dismissal

Absences: Please be sure to report this through your parent portal. Instructions are available here 👉 www.pasco.k12.fl.us/attendance/absence

Please remind your Bulldog of our school expectations every day.

  • Be respectful.
  • Be responsible.
  • Be safe.

We love our families to visit our campus, and want to remind you that you must bring your ID every time. Help us keep our Bulldogs safe.

We look forward to seeing you this week!
