Hello Bulldog Families!
We want to thank all of our families and staff for the flexibility and understanding displayed during our two days without internet. As you have probably heard by now, this was a district wide issue with the internet provider, and service was not restored until late on Thursday. Any emails or communications you sent on Wednesday and Thursday were likely not received until late into Thursday night or even Friday, as our systems righted themselves. Again, we appreciate you for being such a great community.
You may remember that we had several Bulldogs compete at the District STEM Showcase last weekend, and we just learned that 8 of them have been invited to the district gala for formal recognition. Be proud, Bulldogs, as we have a higher number of students being recognized than any other elementary or K-8 school in our area.
This week will be another short one with school closed on Monday. We hope everyone has enjoyed time together as a family, and also prioritizes student attendance during the four school days this week. Every day is important!
Even though the week is short, we have lots of amazing activities and celebrations planned!
Monday: No school
Tuesday: Girls on the Run
Wednesday: Fourth grade classes to EMC fieldtrip
Thursday: Fourth grade classes to EMC fieldtrip
Friday: Girls on the Run, Pride of the Pack, Fourth grade classes to EMC fieldtrip
Student Art Competition Opportunity
Our Bulldogs are invited to participate in the annual Bike to School Day Poster Contest. Mr. Garrett will be sharing more about this opportunity in his Art classes this week, and they will also have time to work on them at home. Final submissions will be due to Mr. Garrett by Friday, February 27. We will hold our own school judging and submit two entries to the official contest on March 13. There are more details in the attached flyer.
Time to order your yearbook for 2025-2026! Yearbooks are only $25 until March 31. Check out the attached flyer for ordering details.
Please read the following reminders, and share them with any family members who are coming to our campus.
Car Rider Line Procedures
We have had several safety issues in our car line recently, and we need your help!
You must not use your cell phone in our car line at any time. As soon as you enter the line in the morning or afternoon, please put your cell phone down so that you can pay attention and ensure the safety of everyone around you. Even while you are waiting, it is important that you are NOT on your phone.
Morning Car Line Notes:
Be prepared to merge into one lane for arrival. You can help by being prepared to merge AND kindly allowing other cars to merge as needed.
Students may ONLY be dropped off at the numbered poles to an adult or Safety Patrol officer. Do NOT drop off your child anywhere else in the parking lot.
After the car line is closed, students must be escorted to the office by an adult.
Dismissal
Absences: Please be sure to report this through your parent portal. Instructions are available here 👉 www.pasco.k12.fl.us/attendance/absence
Please remind your Bulldog of our school expectations every day.
We love our families to visit our campus, and want to remind you that you must bring your ID every time. Help us keep our Bulldogs safe.
Please remember that every school day matters, and it is important that your student is in attendance. We look forward to seeing you this week!
With Bulldog Pride,
Vanessa Hilton
