Hello Bulldog Families!

We had an amazing week at Bexley Elementary! Thank you to all of the families who attended our Melodies in the Snow event last Thursday. It was wonderful to see such great community engagement during this festive season. Thank you also to our PTO for always bringing the games, treats and fun.

This is our last week before Winter Break, and every day matters. Please be sure that you are prioritizing your child's attendance. There will be important instruction, as well as lots of fun, every single day.

Our state progress monitoring continues this week. Please see the weekly agenda below to know if your child's grade is being assessed. On these days, please be sure that your child is on time and well rested for school. The data from these assessments will assist teachers in planning targeted instruction for your child in semester 2.

Last week, we also celebrated Computer Science Week. Students had a blast completing coding activities and exploring how artificial intelligence works through fun, interactive challenges. These experiences help build problem-solving skills and spark curiosity about technology. Our kindergarten students also joined the celebration by designing and creating Bexley-themed ornaments, combining creativity with hands-on learning.

  • Ask your child:
“What was your favorite part about using AI in coding activities?”
“How did you design your Bexley ornament?”

We are also excited to continue our 10 Days of Festive Fun. See attached flyer for more information.

Share Your JOY - Love being at Bexley Elementary? Take a moment to share about our great staff and community!
The Pasco County School District welcomes you to "Share Your Joy" with us this holiday season. Share a story about a person in our schools who inspired you, or who made a difference in your life or the life of your child.

Student Code of Conduct Reminder
Recently, there have been a few students who have used a wireless communication device, in violation of Florida State Statute and our district Code of Conduct. You can access the full Code of Conduct here. Please note that we are required to enforce this policy: Students who bring WCDs to school must ensure that they remain on silent mode and completely out of view for the entire school day. This is particularly important during state testing, as being in possession of such a device will cause a student's score to be invalidated.

Please read the following reminders, and share them with any family members who are coming to our campus.

Morning Car Rider Procedures
We are continuing to see increased traffic on Ballantrae Boulevard, which is impacting our morning car rider line as cars are exiting. To assist with this, we will continue to close the outside car lane earlier, and cars will need to merge into the one lane for the remainder of arrival. You can help by being prepared to merge AND kindly allowing other cars to merge as needed. As families get used to this procedure, the car line will move quicker, and you will wait less after dropping off your child. Please pay careful attention to keep the line moving AND to keep all of our students safe. Additional reminders are below:

  • Be sure the car tag is up when you enter the car line. Remember to take it down from your mirror as soon as your child is unloaded at arrival or loaded at dismissal.
  • In the morning, please wait for a Safety Patrol or staff member to open your car door and welcome your student.
