Good Evening Bexley Families,

I hope this call finds you rested and enjoying family time.  We have an exciting week planned for our Bulldogs.  Starting this week, we welcome our families to join their child/children for lunch on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Please reach out to your child’s teacher to let them know that you will be joining your child for lunch.  This ensures that we have your child waiting for you when their lunch time arrives.  On Monday, 9/11 (Remembrance Day) there will be Chorus Rehearsal at 8:15 am.  On Tuesday, 9/12, the Music Department will hold Rock Band Rehearsal at 8:15 am.  If you are interested in Girls Scouts, please plan to attend the Interest Meeting at 5:30 pm in our REC on Thursday.

We want to thank you for reaching out with your positive calls and suggestions to ensure safety for our students during arrival and dismissal.  We are continuing to work with Pasco County Sheriff’s Department to address all families that are not using our safe routes to school.  Our procedures are designed to keep all students and families safe.

Please remember that double parking, blocking driveways, dropping students off in the roads, and parking in areas that are not designated for our school will continue to be addressed by law enforcement. Parking at the dog park or park areas adjacent to campus, with the intention of accessing our school building causes congestion and forced “U-turns” that create unsafe traffic patterns for students and families that are arriving and dismissing from our campus. We have sent several phone calls and flyers home asking for all families to please follow these procedures due to these safety concerns observed and reported to our school, district staff, school board, and the PCSO.

If you live within walking or biking distance, you can use our hiker/biker or car line for arrival and dismissal. These are two designated safe routes to school with school staff and crossing guards assisting to monitor as students move safely on and off our campus.  While our daily focus is on our students and staff on our campus, Mrs. Boylan has requested the support of PCSO with enforcing our procedures off campus. We have been working hard together to positively reinforce these procedures and ask that our community cooperate with us so we can ensure safety for all students during arrival and dismissal.

Thank you for choosing one of our safe routes to school and in turn helping us to keep our students safe.

School Hours are 9:40 am – 3:50 pm.  We open our campus up for arrival at 9:25 am.  At this time, we have staff organized to ensure students are safely traveling the campus, getting breakfast, and heading to class to begin their academic day.  Please be sure that your child is not accessing our campus prior to 9:25 am.  If childcare is needed, please contact our PLACE program.

We thank you for partnering with us to ensure our Bulldogs have access to a safe and equitable education.
