Hello Bulldog Families,
This week is the last week of March and by Friday we are celebrating the beginning of the state assessment season for our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders! Your child’s quarter 3 report card will be released in your myStudent Parent Portal on Tuesday, March 29th. This is a great time to discuss quarter 4 goals with your child and work with your child’s teacher to support those goals and finish this school year STRONG! Your partnership in supporting your child’s growth is valued.
Our 3rd 4th and 5th graders will be taking the FSA, or Florida State Assessment, beginning April 5th. We are confident that they are prepared and ready to show what they know on these assessments. Our staff is committed to providing practice test opportunities to reduce the anxiety of test taking. We are planning a pep rally parade, Olympic Games style to show our intermediate students that they have the encouragement and support of our entire Bexley school family. Your help with positive, encouraging words will also support your child’s confidence and belief in his/her success.
As student are testing Tuesday-Friday next week, and we are on a quiet campus, volunteers and visitors will not be allowed on campus, specifically for lunch on Thursday next week. We thank you for understanding that we use every space for testing and want to ensure a quiet campus for testing. As testing continues in May, we will update you on volunteer and lunch visitor access.
Looking ahead, be sure to mark your calendar for the following dates/events:
April 12th – 6:00 Chorus concert
April 13th – Early Release Day (2:20pm dismissal)
April 13th – 6:00-9:00pm Brick City and Delectable Delights spirit nights!
April 14th – 5:00 PTO meeting in the BES Rec Center (media)
April 15th – no school for students or teachers
