PTO Meeting Minutes 9/20
Financials
-Spirit wear and Membership account balances went up. This is due to Meet the Teacher.
-25 staff have joined the PTO thus far. We are considering a building vs. building competition again for staff members.
-Funds raised from the sale of coupon books and Boosterthon will go towards a shade cover for the playground.
PAW Partners
-We have 20 sponsors so far
-$8000 total in profit. This includes $400 in pizza from Pizza Hut and $250 in gift cards from Glory Days
-We talked about sending just the Family Sponsors portion home in the Friday folders
-Also mentioned religious/church sponsors are welcome, there cannot be any religious text on any banners or anything displayed/sent home from the school
Holiday Movie Night
-Possible date of December 7th
-Free movie charge for some of the food
-Possible menu: hot chocolate, popcorn, pizza, cookies
-Debated inside vs. outside movie. Going to go over this with administration.
-Consider a sponsor if done outside.
Paint Night
-Talked about possibly trying for November. I believe we eventually decided against a November date.
-Also talked about someone along the lines of Painting with a Twist coming in to run it.
-Also a possible chance for a sponser
-Discussed possible January/February time frame
-This turned the discussion towards the idea of a parents night out/movie night around Valentines Day
Boosterthon
-Flyer is ready to go home with the date, time frame of Boosterthon events, fundraising goal
-$20,000 goal
-Spoke about mapping the goal so parents can see where we are at/how far left to go
-Still finding out if credit cards can be used for pledges
