Hello Bulldog Families,

This week is green week and we are excited for the month of November! Thank you for continuing to support your child’s learning at home by reading before bedtime and engaging in Lexia or Zearn throughout the week.

This Tuesday is Fall Picture makeup Day. If your child was absent or you would like your child to have his/her picture retaken, please let your child’s teacher know. This is the last chance to have your child’s Fall school picture taken and these pictures will go in our yearbook.

Tuesday is also Grain and Berry Bexley Spirit Night starting at 4:00pm. Stop by Grain and Berry for a treat and don’t forget to mention you are from Bexley Elementary school!

Quarter 2 Progress Reports are ready for you to view in your parent portal on Friday, November 10th.

Friday, November 10th is also our Veterans Day Celebration starting at 10:30am on our basketball courts. Our 2nd grade families and Bexley family veterans and their families are invited to attend. Our 2nd graders will be singing and all students had an opportunity to contribute in our celebration through art, music, computer science tasks, and writing. A special THANK YOU to our CAMPEd team for all of the work they put in to making this celebration happen! All students will also have the opportunity to view our celebration in their classrooms.

Parking will be limited due to the size of our parking lot. 2nd grade families and veterans, if you are attending our celebration, please plan to walk or carpool if possible. Also, we will have seating available, but if you have a lawn chair, feel free to bring it in the event that we are short on seating. We will do our best with what we have.

Our front parking lot gates will open at 10:00 to begin checking in our 2nd grade families and veterans. Please be patient as we check in all visitors. We will have greeters to show our families where to go. Our celebration is on our basketball courts and will be from 10:30-11:30. Before or after the celebration be sure to check out the student art work and our “Wall of Honor” to celebrate those that served within our Bexley family. We are excited for this event and look forward to sharing photos of the day with all families after the event. For those veterans that can’t join us, we thank you for your service!

Friday, November 17th Bexley will celebrate the Great American Teach-In. Your child came home with a flyer this past week. Please complete the flyer and return it to your child’s teacher no later than Wednesday if you’d like to share your career with our Bulldogs!

We look forward to seeing our Bulldogs, on time, tomorrow morning!

Believe, Engage, Succeed, Teamwork, Integrity, and Equity for every Bulldog, every day!
