Hello Bulldog Families,

It’s BLUE week and this week is fun-filled with celebrating our Top Dogs, hosting our first Bexley Book Character Parade, Early Release/HOUSE day, and Pajama Day, too! Along with the fun continues a focus on learning. Our teachers and staff will continue to provide high expectations for learning and behavior during these holiday months. We ask for your support by reinforcing the importance of coming to school, ready to learn. We are consistently reinforcing the expectation of maintaining a positive and safe learning environment in our classrooms. If you child is disrupting the learning of others, we will work with you to enforce consequences and make a plan for improvement. We appreciate your partnership and reinforcement of these expectations at Bexley.

First, tomorrow morning is our Top Dog virtual breakfast celebration to celebrate our Top Dogs this month. If your child is a Top Dog, we will see you online tomorrow morning at 8:50am.

Tuesday is Halloween and we end our Red Ribbon Week by celebrating with our first Bexley Book Character Parade! If you would like to come see your child parade in his/her book character costume, please feel free to join us in our bus loop. Our Kindergarten and 1st graders will parade the bus loop from 10:15-10:45. 4th and 5th graders will parade from 11:30-12:00. 2nd and 3rd graders will parade from 1:00-1:30.

We will open the bus loop gates 15 minutes before the start of each parade and close the gates once the parade begins. Unfortunately, we do not have parking available for these parades and no visitors will be allowed on campus through our black gates for this event. If you’d like to attend to view the parade, you may enter from Bud Bexley Parkway/Tower Road or the sidewalk coming from Cadance Loop. Please remember to be kind and courteous and do not block driveways if you are parking in the community street to attend. The invitation and map is attached to this email. Bring your own lawn chair if you choose. We look forward to a positive and memorable event for our students and our families!

Wednesday is an early release day for our students. Please remember your child will be dismissed at 1:50pm. Plan to pick up your child or meet him/her at the bus stop early this Wednesday, November 1st. This is also HOUSE day so have your child dress in his/her HOUSE color or HOUSE shirt on Wednesday.

On Friday our students will receive their last fundraiser incentive promise of a schoolwide PJ and Movie Day. Have your child wear his/her PJs to school and be ready for a 30-minute movie or free time within his/her classroom. A HUGE thank you again for your participation in our Fall Fundraiser. Because of your support, additional shades have already been ordered to provide our students with a shaded break area during our hottest months of the year. Thank you to our PTO for organizing and managing this amazing Buddy-a-Thon fundraiser and the incentives, too!

We look forward to seeing our Bulldogs, on time, tomorrow morning for another wonderful week at Bexley.

Believe, Engage, Succeed, Teamwork, Integrity, and Equity, for every Bulldog, every day!
