Hello Bulldog Families,

Tomorrow we welcome our incoming 23-24 Kindergarteners and families as we host our Kindergarten Round-Up from 10:00-1:00. Our staff and students are all welcome to dress up in western gear to say “HOWDIE” to our new Bexley Bulldogs!
We do expect a crowd at Bexley so we will move our lunchtime visitor days from tomorrow to Tuesday and Thursday this week. We appreciate your understanding of this last minute change. You will be welcome on campus for lunch with your child on Tuesday and/or Thursday this week.

This Wednesday morning, starting at 8:30am is a School Advisory Council meeting and all are welcome to join. Our School Advisory Council will be learning about our most recent needs assessment and view next year’s success plan draft for Bexley.

On Thursday morning, starting at 8:30am we are very excited to host our very FIRST All Pro Dads event in our cafeteria. A light breakfast and family bonding is on the menu. All dads, granddads, guardians, or any other father figures are welcome to join our All Pro Dads event with their child on Thursday, starting at 8:30am. We hope to see you there! 🙂
On Thursday, at 4:30, we will have our monthly PTO meeting. All are welcome on Thursday, starting at 4:30 in our Art room.

On Friday, the One Blood big red bus will be on our campus. All of our Bexley community is welcome to visit the bus and donate blood between 10:00-2:00 on Friday.

The bookfair is here starting on Thursday, this week and our Bulldogs will have time to visit with their classroom teacher. Save the date for next Tuesday night, 4/25 to visit the book fair with your child between 5:00-7:00pm. Next Tuesday night, 4/25 is also our Family Bingo Night, a free PTO family event. We hope you will come out and enjoy a fun family game with us!

Looking ahead, April 27th is National Take your Child to Work day. If you plan to take your child to work with you, you must submit your child’s absence on our online Mach form and indicate this being the reason for your child’s absence. Since this is a national event, your child will be excused with this written notice.

On May 1st we will begin our quiet campus as students begin the end of year FAST tests. Due to this being a quiet campus, we will not allow lunch visitors on campus. Volunteers that come during the school day should make arrangements with their teacher/staff contact to coordinate volunteer times that work around individual class testing days.

Last but not least, if you are in our car line, this is a reminder to refrain from being on your cell phone while moving through our line. We have several adults standing throughout our car line, and children exiting cars. We appreciate your help with this and thank you to those that put down their phone while driving through our car line on campus.

We look forward to seeing our Bulldogs, on time, tomorrow morning. We thank you, as always, for your support as we strive to provide a world class education for every child.

Believe, Engage, Succeed, Teamwork, Integrity, and Equity for every Bulldog, every day!

Sincerely,

Michele Boylan, BES Principal
