Hello Bexley Families,
We hope this message finds you well and there was minimal impact to you and your family from our recent hurricane. If you or your family were impacted, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our school team for support. At this time, our school district is planning a hurricane relief effort to support those schools and families south of us that continue to be without electricity or basic needs. Stay tuned for more information on how we plan to support.
This week is the first week of October and we have two weeks left of the first quarter of the school year! Please make sure that your child is completing our weekly homework expectations of completing their Lexia and Zearn lessons and reading each night, too. We thank you for making this a priority in your weekly routines.

Tomorrow, we have an EXCITING kickoff for our PTO fall fundraiser and our Bulldog Dance-A-Thon will be happening this Friday! This year, our PTO fundraising is geared toward raising funds for shades for the playground and throughout campus, and we need your help! We thank you to those who have already registered. We are proud to announce that we already met our 20% school-wide registration goal. By meeting this goal, our students and staff will have a crazy hair/hat day on Monday, October 10th. If you haven’t registered yet, remember to register at MYBOOSTER.com today to get started and start donating. Every class that reaches 50% registration/participation will also earn a popsicle party. All students will enjoy our Dance-A-Thon event is this Friday, October 7th, in the afternoon, on campus!

On Tuesday, Oct 4th from 6-7:30pm we will host a parent engagement event at Rushe Middle School to support our community families in learning about FAST testing information and our systems of support and enrichment provided to our students. We are providing individual score reports for those parents that register using the QR code on the flyer. By registering before Tuesday, we can support you in better understanding your individual child’s FAST report. Our flyer was sent home in Friday folders and can also be found on our school website or Facebook page. We hope to see you there!

Wednesday, Oct 5th is Early Release Day and students will be dismissed at 1:50pm. Please plan to meet your child at the bus stop, hiker/biker, or be in the car line by 1:50pm on Wednesday. An early release day also means a its HOUSE Day and a Bexley spirit night! Make sure your child is wearing his/her HOUSE color to show their HOUSE spirit on Wednesday.

Also, join us for a Bexley Dual Spirit Night starting at 2:00 and/or 4:00pm. Delectable Delights will take Bexley orders from 2pm-9pm and Brick City Eatery, from 4pm- 8pm. Mention Bexley Elementary when ordering food, merchandise and/or sweets and a portion of your purchase will come back to Bexley Elementary!

Last but not least, we have also rescheduled our Backyard Bulldog Movie Night for next Friday, Oct 14. Front gates will open at 6:45pm and movie will begin at 7:00pm. We are excited to provide this free event for our Bulldog students and families and thank Brave church for working with our PTO to reschedule this event!
