Hello Bexley Families,

Today is the first day of the month of May and we are looking forward to finishing this last month strong, with your support! First, we want to send a special shout out to our PTO. Our Spring Carnival was an event that has been in the works for the last two months. The rain was unexpected, but we continued the event with the support and encouragement of so many. We THANK YOU for understanding that we couldn’t control the rain, and also wanted to continue an event that our students were looking forward to. Unfortunately, our PTO will not receive refunds for the inflatables, so we will most likely not be able to reschedule these for our Bulldogs. We understand the disappointment and appreciate your understanding that all funds collected will still go toward adding a shade structure to our playground for our students. We will continue to work with our PTO, as a team, to plan forward. Thank you again for your words of encouragement and understanding that the rain was just not in our favor. Congratulations to all that won the beautiful baskets at the auction! If you were a winner and were not in attendance, you will receive a phone call soon. Again, a special thanks to our wonderful PTO, vendors and staff that made our Spring Carnival happen! 🙂

This week, our 4th and 5th graders will take the Reading FSA. 5th graders will take the test on Monday and Tuesday and our 4th graders will take the test on Wednesday and Thursday. Make-up testing will occur on Friday. With this being said, we will have quiet campus all week. For this reason, lunch visitors and volunteers will not be permitted on campus. We thank you for your cooperation.
Parents of 4th and 5th graders, wondering how you can help? Please make sure your child has a healthy breakfast if eating at home and gets a good night sleep the night before the assessment. Your positive encouragement, along with ours, will help keep all students at ease and ready to put forth their best effort. Thank you for your partnership!

Registration for the 22-23 school year is now online, districtwide. If you know someone that is NEW to our Bexley family, please let them know that registration is completed online. For new Kindergarteners entering Bexley, registration is now open and we will be hosting a Kindergarten Camp for incoming Kindergarteners on July 28th and 29th. Please call us for details and a flyer to order a Kindergarten Camp t-shirt! If you are returning to Bexley next school year and your address has not changed, you do not need to do anything at this time. 🙂

At Bexley, we believe in all of our teachers and will create classes for the 22-23 school year with the expectation that every teacher would put their own child in every classroom. Our teachers are included in the process of creating class lists for the next grade level so their input for each child is heard. With that mindset moving into next year, we will not be accepting teacher requests. Our goal is to gain your trust in the decisions we make and the expectations that we hold for all classroom teachers. I know that I would place my own children in any classroom at Bexley because I know that each teacher is dedicated to providing support, enrichment, and the best practices they possess to teach children toward success. Thank you for your trust in us as we create a schedule and continue to hold high expectations for our staff and students at Bexley.

The last day for students is May 25th and we plan to make every day count at Bexley! Thank you for your partnership and support. We look forward to seeing our Bulldogs, on time, tomorrow morning for another great week of learning!

Believe. Engage. Succeed.
Every Bulldog, Every Day!
