Brandy Chemnitz:
This is my 16th year in the field of education. I am a product of the Florida Public school system, attending Polk County public schools from Kindergarten to 12th grade, Flagler College, Clearwater Christian College, and University of South Florida. I have my Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Elementary Education (K-6th) and my Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Literacy Education (K-12th). I also hold an ESOL endorsement. In 2009, I earned my National Board Certification, as a Middle Childhood Generalist. I spent 12 years as a classroom teacher with Pinellas County schools, teaching 3rd and 4th grade. In 2015, I joined Pasco County Schools as a Learning Design Coach at Seven Springs Elementary. In the Spring of 2017, I was selected as part of the core team to open the beautiful new Bexley Elementary School. My work as a Learning Design Coach affords me the opportunity to still be “hands-on” and support both teachers and students on this incredible educational journey. In addition to my day-to-day responsibilities as a Learning Design Coach at Bexley, I have served as a part-time instructor at the college level, since 2013, supporting developmental reading programs and Literacy courses for a Teacher Education program.
Away from work, I am a wife and mom to two wonderful kids. I enjoy spending time with my family and anything that will take me outdoors.
